Ubuntu 25.10: sound “works” but output is “shifted”.

Trying the sound test:

  • testing the front left speaker makes the front right one emit sound
  • testing the front right speaker makes something on the right but closer to the display emit sound. Perhaps it’s the mic working as a speaker instead of as a mic?

Plugging in headphones or a headset works fine (left is left, right is right, headset mic works).

Same issue here but I haven’t found a solution yet. I tried updating drivers and playing with audio settings but nothing changed
