after 2 months one of the rubber feet was gone. when i bought it it looked very sturdy, but it seems the glue is not strong enough.
also the paint of the plastic hinge covers wears off.
compared to my other laptops these things happen after a few years not after a few months.
I have ours on the office and please use it everyday, different departments and is still good.
But i will ask if this a defect issue.
not even older than 3 months, some keys on the keyboard do not work anymore. I did not spill any liquid whatsoever. The location of the keys are also unrelated:
- top left: key `
- top middle: keys 5 and 6
- top right: keys - and =
- bottom left: right Ctrl key
Due to reports of users who had issues in getting their laptops repaired during the warranty period, I am doubtful if it’s worth to send it back for repair.
Replacing a keyboard myself bought from Aliexpress would cost me less time, money [the AE keyboard would cost me 50 euro] and less frustration I believe, without the chance that my data will be compromised or deleted.
Lessons learned: this is my first and last chuwi product! Never had a product before, even chinese laptops that failed me so fast.
