Hi Folks,

I bought a Chuwi Herobook and I hope to have it this Tuesday (delivered from Chuwi Store Spain).

I plan to install a M2 SSD in the expansion bay. Reading a lot of posts here on problems with the cloning process I am in two minds what to do.

Should I.

Clone Windows 10 of the EMMC to the SSD and hope that it works.
Or install Windows 10 fresh onto the SSD.

Can I use the License Key of the EMMC Windows 10 on the fresh install on the SSD.

any help or advice is welcomed. Any pointers to an installation guide is also welcome.

Hi Folks,

So I got my Herobook today. First impressions is that I am delighted with it. A budget laptop that is well made and well worth the money, so a big thanks to CHUWI. I do want to upgrade to an SSD. Can any advise me what is the easiest and less stress course of action.

  1. Clone Windows 10 of the EMMC to the SSD and hope that it works?
  2. Or install Windows 10 fresh onto the SSD?
