A little under a year and half later, the battery on my Hi10 X1 puffed up, expanding to the point where the chassis started to separate. Its a good thing I did not travel with this device.
I disassembled the device and carefully removed cut the tabs connecting the battery.
You need to get a new battery, either from service@chuwi.com or AliExpress, and replace the old one.
Battery life depends a lot on factors other than product quality, such as usage and the stress it has to withstand. Continuous use while the device is charging causes the battery temperature to rise, as it already heats up during the charging process.
Also, charging to 100% and using the battery at levels below 15% will shorten its lifespan.
