How to open tablet?

Does anyone know how to open this tablet, I want to replace SSD to biggest size…

You need to use a machine that heats the case, it must be done by a proffesional,. so you should go to a repair store, it does not have screws

I’m a bit late to the party on this one as I only got my tablet (Second hand, nearly new) in January 2025 in the UK as I am UK based.
I had issues with the trackpad (now sorted) and I wanted to open it to see what I could change, contacting Chuwi support, I was able to find out.

After a few months of trying to open it, I finally managed to do it. Plus they helpfully provided a video to show me, the good news is no heating is required.
BE CAREFUL! ITS EASY TO DAMAGE! I damaged the backplate stand, unfortunately, plus they know I’ve opened it.

All you need is a plastic instrument to pry it open, a plastic opening tool is perfect - or a guitar pick. A plastic one. As they point out, no heating required.

Easiest place to start, USB 3.0 port side, seems to separate easier there. Get your tool between the back and the screen, a very thin seem and I mean thin!

Work your way round gently, then gently lift up the screen and place it to one side. Its attached to a ribbon cable underneath.

Admire Chuwi’s engineering. This is the first time I’ve had a Chuwi computer of any kind and for the value and what I got, I was happy. Now, what can you change? The SSD which is a SATA based M2 drive (2280) - that is IT! Plus you can give it a clean, which is a bit essential where I live, as I live with 2 Irish (Red/Red and White) Setters (Dogs) and they bring in dirt, which clogs up the fan. As for putting it back together? Just snaps back, that is it, no tools. You may consider using a suction cup however.

I’m thinking of a one terabyte drive in the future.
I at least hope this helps someone in the future, if not right away.

I’ve also found that if you have our lovely 3-pin fused plugs (in my opinion, the safest plugs on earth but you are free to disagree), you can use the lower USB-C port on the side to charge the tablet with a normal USB-C charger rather than the included USB-C charger, which only provides 12V.

First post on this forum, so I would appreciate some feedback in a way that is set out in the community guidelines.
