This. How to create a bootable USB stick in order to make a fresh installation for Minibook X N100?
windows installation system tutorial.docx (633,0 KB)
Driver installation tutorial.docx (10,0 MB)
Ok, done, tried to boot with F7 and selecting the USB stick, nothing happened, boot from NVME windows normally.
Everything done as the instructions set, the system is NTFS, Volume Name WINPE.
Is there anything Iām missing?
Can you show an image of the process?
Ok. I figured it out.
I messed up some BIOS boot options and could not boot from any bootable USB stick.
Now I fixed it and it worked like a charm.
Thanks.
Buenas tardes tengo una CHUWI HI 8 y no me prende ni carga
.
En espera de su pronta ayuda
Been having same problem. Could you send us the relevant BIOS screen because no matter what I do I still cannot boot from OSād USB (Win 11 24H2)
Iām a user like you, trying to help, but I need more information.
You have the same problem. What did you do to get the same problem ?
How did you save the USB ?
Can you enter the BIOS ?
Hi Bruzan2025,
Received my new Minibook N150 a few days ago. It all works fine but I need a bigger disk so I copied the OS via USB (using Paragon HDM which I have used many times before) onto a new 2TB M.2 drive ie. a Realtek RTL9210B-CG. Process went smoothly and on termination I changed the boot device via BIOS settings (and PF7) and attempted to boot from USB when I got an 'Innacesible_boot_device (0x7b). Have looked everywhere and it all seems fine but was unable to get running from the USB drive. Went further and swapped the resident disk (AirDisk) with the new M.2 unit and got the same result. Suspecting the new M.2 unit could be at fault, I used it to do the same with my desktop ie. Copy the OS, try to boot from USB and it all worked fine.
Tried to contact Chuwi UK but I am getting no response. If you could tell me what I may doing wrong, Iād be much obliged.
Thanks
Juan J GinƩs

I always prefer to do a fresh install.
What is the original hard drive capacity ?
You can check the maximum capacity allowed for the hard drive on your laptop ?
Iām guessing from your nickname that you speak Spanish.
Hi Bruzan2025,
Original size is 476.81 GB.
Machine came with no additional disks so I guess that my only option is a factory reset, which I am not very keen to do. Have taken an image (with Paragon HDM) for recovery but again Iāve not used it yet.
Iāve read other peopleās comments that it is possible to install a 2TB M.2 drive into the Minibook N150.
I am originally from Barcelona (Spain) although I have been a UK resident for many many years. What about yourself?.
Regards and thanks for your help.

Youāre saying you only have one slot to connect a disk.
You can check if you have the manual that comes with the computer, because I saw that the maximum is one terabyte or a thousand.
You can use an external drive
Hi Bruzan 2025,
1.- Only 1 internal slot for a M.2 disk and 2 USB-C connectors.
2.- The āmanualā does state that it takes up to 1TB but have read many comments about the successful installation of 2TB. Have asked Chuwi themselves who may/may not bother to answer.
3.- Have removed the original M2.disk and mounted it into an external holder. Placed the new 2TB into the internal slot and started the computer from the USB port. Copied OS into the new C: using Paragon HDM software (well tried and tested). Process went cleanly but on start up the initial Chuwi logo stayed on screen and wouldnāt take me anywhere else so after 30 mins, I assumed that it wasnāt going to work and reverted the operation. I am aware that I can always use the 2TB as an external disk but Iād prefer to have it as the main disk. It may not be possible.
4.- You did mention that you had successfully overcome that problem. May I ask how?
Regards and thanks for your help

At no point did I say Iāve overcome any problems. There may be a solution.
You can check by downloading the operating system and drivers from Chuwi, support, and downloads. It may work.
The M2 drive is new. You can swap it for a 1 terabyte M2 or buy a 1 terabyte.
Hola Bruzan2025,
