Reset BIOS password of a HeroBox MiniPC

On a totally stupid note, I forgot to write down the password I set for the BIOS, effectively getting locked out.

Is there a way to reset that password, maybe by flashing a vanilla ROM?

I can provide the S/N of my HeroBox, as well as the purchase invoice with my government ID to prove I am a legitimate owner of the device.

I think it is cleared when you remove the CMOS battery from the motherboard

At the back the unit there’s a tiny hole called “Reset”, thats next to the Power plug.
You can also temporarily remove the inside battery.
