2.4 I’d like to ask if there’s a BIOS version or setting that exposes the STAPM power limit as a raw wattage value rather than just a percentage/scalar. Right now STAPM Limit shows as 100% with no numeric field, and using HWiNFO I can confirm the GPU is being held to 15W (capping it at ~1300MHz instead of the rated 1800MHz boost) even though I’ve raised PPT to 54W separately. Is there a BIOS build that allows adjusting the actual STAPM wattage, or is this locked/fixed on this model? Its severely limiting since i paid fair and square

The AMD 7430U is generally packaged in 15W TDP solutions with capabilities from some OEMs to go all the way to 28W. The Corebook X R5 is purposefully limited to 15W to keep the device thin and light.

Even if the motherboard were pulled from the laptop, and a custom water cooled solution applied to the CPU, it might be able to sustain 54W without catching on fire. If more power is needed, get a bigger laptop with a beefier cooling solution.

Is there any way to bypass the limitations?Because when i purchased it, it wasnt clearly stated it was limited by the firmware, ive still got headroom for more tdp since my temperature is near idle desktop temperature even while gaming besides i can mod the chasis a bit to use the aluminum back panel as a heat sink by adding more contact points

Yes. Hack the BIOS yourself. Unfortunately, there’s not out-of-the-box solution to do what you want. If anyone claims they have a hacked BIOS you can use, do not use it as it will likely brick the computer. Hacking the BIOS is going to take a lot patience, time, and understanding to not brick the machine.

The fact that its falsely advertised as a 7430u when its actually a luciene if it was actually a 7430u it couldve taken a higher tdp due to being more efficient the fact they even tried hiding it in bios and task manager
