Vi8 Tablet 32 gib rom showing only 7 gib and cant create partition. Please help.
What operating system do you have and how old is it ?
Have you tried saving important data and reinstalling or resetting to factory settings ?
This chuwi vi8 tablet, is very old, release in 2015. Its dual boot android and windows 10. No important data. i use it in outside, or when traveling, just to be online like pocket pc. The problem start after an update for microsoft, then the blue screen appear and can’t access to windows or android. So i try to reinstall the both. I successfully flashed android, but when i try to flash windows with usb pen drive using WINPE image. The 32gib emmc disk disappeared, and only 7,2gib of unlocated space can’t be used to create partitios.thank you bruzan2025
When you install Windows, the disk is shown with the partitions you have; you only mention the unallocated space.
What other partitions does it have ?
With bootable usb installation iso, there is no disk to install windows on it. but when i boot the tablet with bootable usb gparted live iso. gpart showing an unlocated space on mmcblk with 7,2 gib size.
There are forum threads for installing Android with Windows.
It seems the disk isn’t clean; for some reason, it’s saving data.
There are disk-erasing apps like Disk Wipe or disk-formatting apps.
I haven’t installed Android with Windows. You’re supposed to install Android first. When you install Android, it doesn’t give you the option to leave free space.
Another option is to create a partition at the end of the disk, which could be half the hard drive’s capacity. Install Android on the free part, delete the partition at the end, and install Windows on the free part.
