What's charging of FreeBook 13.5 inch | Intel N100

Could somebody tell me exactly please what charger would fit for the laptop: 12V 2A (24W) or 12V 3A (36W). I want to buy an extra PD charger (usb c) so would like to know what’s charging of the laptop please.

Best regards,

G

Go for the 12v 3A. It will cover the freebook needs and have some extra power if needed for another device. Only important part is that the PD charger you buy covers 12V , a lot of chargers in the market go 5v, 9v, 15v, 20v, skipping the 12V which may not fit for some devices that require PD under 12V.

thank you very much for your reply!
I found a nice charger (small, compact, reasonable priced) which says: Type-C1 Output: 5V/3A; 9V/3A; 12V/2.91A; 15V/2.33A; 20V/1.75A

so would u think 12v/2.91A would charge my laptop correctly or it has to be 12v/3A as minimum. What’s what I want to figure out before ordering.

many thanks for any info.

Best,

G

when I was on linux I noticed that any charger, even 45W/60W charger cannot push more than 20W energy into the battery.

I would not be surprised if it would do the same in windows.

so I would not worry much about 34.92W vs 36W charger.

Note that charging parameters has nothing to do with the operating system. The OS just displays the status of charging.

FWIW:
