I am trying to add a second SSD and am having nothing but trouble. Have tried both a M.2 NVMe and SATA and neither are discovered upon booting after install. I find all kinds of conflicting info on the web before I found this forum, can it be done, and if so could someone point in me the right direction of the proper one to get and how to install it?

hello. as i read nvme not working in the ssd slot with removable cover. try an m.2 sata ssd, this exact one is working for me. WD Blue SA510 SATA SSD 1 TB M.2 2280.
after booting in windows you should go to disk management. just type ‘diskmgmt.msc’ in the search bar. or right click on this pc->manage->disk management.
you should see right away the new ssd, and the program asks if you want to format it. if not, right click on this new ssd and go to format. just normal basic NTFS. then you need a letter and a name for it and its ready to go!
