CHUWI Herobook Pro Full Black Screen & Charging Issues After New Charger

Hi guys,

Full black background screen on my CHUWI Herobook Pro+. After my laptop charger broke about a years ago, I finally ordered a new one today. But now, it is acting up. It’s been on charge for 6 to 7 hours, and it only fully powered on once. Every other time, the power LED flickers with black color, and the laptop keeps turning on and off.

The charger connection is unstable I have to position the laptop at certain angles to get it to charge, and the charging LED flickers. When it did boot, I got to the login screen, but after logging in, it was just a blank screen with a cursor. Task Manager opens with CTRL + ALT + Delete, but nothing else loads.

The laptop was fine before the charger broke. Any ideas?

This sounds like the battery might have gone bad. Does the unit power up when plugged in? The battery might be available on Amazon. The charger that went bad might have caused an internal problem. You can try removing the battery and power up via the plug. If the unit comes on , then buy a replacement battery. If the unit still won’t power on, you"ll need to have it repaired.
