Chuwi LARKBOOK CWI509 screen is black

Hello team,
Recently my Larkbook S/N larkbQ256G20110275 was working fine and on a restart the screen went dark. It has some backlight when it is turned on but no image.

I have attempted to connect to another screen and it shows image on another screen by USB-C.

  1. How can i access the BIOS to reset it?
  2. Are there Bios updates for the system and how can i update it.
  3. Is this a know issues( i have read similar topics here)
  4. Is there a presentation mode i might be missing?
Any help would be highly apreciated.

Same problm with Larkbook.
Any solution?

Thank you for your clear explanation, which helps us find the solution directly. Since you’ve connected the laptop to an external display and it’s working correctly, we need to determine whether the problem is only with the display, because its connection has shifted and the flex cable that connects it to the motherboard isn’t properly secured, or whether the problem is with the display driver, which Windows has updated for another one that’s not 100% compatible. Since the first case involves opening the laptop, I think you should first check that the display driver appears in Windows Device Manager and that there are no yellow triangles next to any of the display drivers.

Aquí los drivers: My Files

Hello @manonegra222 , the laptop drivers work fine and when I power the laptop you can see glow on the screen, but no image.

basically i can se the screen frame brighter but no image show up. If i point a flasjlight to it i can see the image beneath, meaning the screen “led” power is not getting there.

Ok, understood.

There are two possibilities:

  1. The screen brightness is at its lowest setting, or

  2. the flex cable between the motherboard and the screen isn’t properly connected, and the backlight isn’t turning on.

Try increasing the screen brightness in the display options in the settings.

I tried unplugging and reconnecting the cables: video signal, touchscreen signal and battery.

I cleaned the connectors, started the notebook without connections and I also tried to increase the display brightness with the working keys.

No way! The backlight is there but I imagine they are not visible on the screen.

The notebook works very well if connected via HDMI to a monitor.

Exactly the same problem as I stated. Works fine on USB-C and HDMI. all options are fine but screens has the frame in light blue but no image.
