Soon after I got my GemiBook it shut down suddenly. When I restarted it, it went to black screen. I have been ill for a long time so was unable to do anything about it, but now I am better and would like to fix my laptop please.
When I start it, it comes up with the Chuwi logo, plays a little tune, then goes to the photo I put on the desktop, with the (incorrect) date and time. I can hit escape to get my login details, but when I log in it says Welcome then just goes to black screen.
There is a cursor, and I can hit Ctrl, Alt, Delete to bring up Task Manager. From there I can go to File/Run new task. I can then run Microsoft Edge for instance and can connect to the Internet. I can also type Cmd to get a command prompt. But when I run Explorer.exe nothing happens.
I have tried various Restarts suggested on some Help websites, and I have run a scan in a Command box…. Sfc /scannow
That gave me a message about having done repairs which I have photographed and can send, but I cannot see how to attach it here. But when I restarted, I still had the same issue.
There are no personal files stored on it (as far as I can remember) so I am happy to reset it, but don’t want to cause more problems.
Please can you help me?
