Good day,
About 2 weeks ago, my Herobook Pro spontaneously rebooted on me and left me on the American Megatrends BIOS screen. At first, I suspected a probable SSD failure, so I purchased a new one to be sure, but it did not show up in the BIOS on my Herobook.
Both SSDs (the original one and new one) both function in my other laptop (MSI Bravo) and I am able to access the data on them. The replacement drive is a MSATA (m.2 2280) unit as per the label on the Herobook. As such, I can probably say that the m.2 port on my machine has become defective, is there any way to replace this part?
Or, will I have to replace the entire unit? It’s been a solid workhorse for me, as I’m on the road quite often for work and it has never given me any issues until now. I would hate to spend more money after 1 year of use, as I really cannot afford to waste money at this point.
