Minibook X for Linux

Hi everyone…i’ve just installed Ubuntu Mate 22.04 LTS (one of the lightweight Linux distro) on my Minibook X (i wanna make it a fast and responsive machine). And my report so far about common driver support are:

  1. Display driver : support (actually the screen default is always in tablet mode from OS booting, so i have to set display rotate setting to normalize it for temporary)
  2. Keyboard & touchpad : run well
  3. camera : run well
  4. Wifi : not detected … i had check the hardware from terminal command and it was detected (+description model as Intel) but its completely not work.

Please gimme some advise to solve it… without WiFi it’s like a dead beauty machine :disappointed:

thanks

Assuming you’re on Kernel >= 6.4 … there’s “provisional” support for the AX201 however mine would always crash ‘after’ attempting to join a network. To rememdy this ( Fedora 38 ):

  • add to /etc/modprobe.d/iwlwifi.conf
    • options iwlwifi disable_11ax=true
  • regenerate your initramfs
  • reboot
    Good luck.
