Minibook X Keyboard backlight turns off after a few seconds (solved)

Hello, did you manage to solve the problem? I caught a similar problem after updating the BIOS. I hoped that the update would help remove the terrible squeaking of the throttles. Maybe the manufacturer has the ability to update the BIOS via USB or a programmer?

We always advice to not flash the Bios because it could lead to problems. ¿Your Serial number was listed? Because it did not work for all of them.

I am using the Japanese keyboard layout on the minibook x. After applying this patch, the “カタカナひらがなローマ字” key stopped working and is only recognized as “right alt.” Please provide a fix patch.

Give me your serial number

When testing the keyboard on a website, the “カタカナ/ひらがな/ローマ字” key was recognized as “RightAlt,” and the adjacent “ろ” key was identified as “RightCtrl.” However, when checking the keyboard settings, it was properly configured as a Japanese layout. Internally, it seems to behave like a US English keyboard layout.

Hi Dears. Kindly help me to solve the turns off backlight issue. My MiniBook X’s serial number is absent in the range listed above. Here you are: ZMinBXHY3H230701913. Could you please check it with the tech team? Thank you in advance!

Just found it out on the middle of the topic. Sorry for bothering.

Hello, thanks for the support on this patch. I installed it on my Minibook X as my serial number ZMinBXHY4H230901038 was listed but unfortunately ended up with boot loop without possibility to enter BIOS or Windows. @ChuwiSpainSupport Is there anything else I can try as the laptop does not respond to anything except power button and turns off itself few seconds later? I contacted Chuwi support here in Spain with ticket 28508 to hopefully find a solution to repair. Thanks.

@manonegra222 reinstalling the BIOS could solve it?

@ms134 We cannot replace the computer, but maybe repair in case it needs to be sent.

The symptoms are compatible with a corrupted BIOS, so it is possible that flashing the BIOS is the solution.

How can I reflash the bios when the laptop does not turn on for more than few seconds? Nothing appears on screen and I cannot enter bios or boot menu to select usb drive to boot from.

I did not receive reply from service support, if I need to send in the laptop for repair, how long will it take?

You must start the computer by pressing F7 intermittently (it can be Fn+F7) and with the pendrive with the BIOS files connected, choosing the pendrive in the boot selection menu that should appear, thus the flashing should begin.

I tried this multiple times but unfortunately the laptop powers off after 5-10 seconds and does not show boot selection.

@ChuwiSpainSupport How can I send it for repair? Currently the Chuwi Support has not replied to my ticket 28508 and there does not seem to be other methods of contact.

I am sorry i just saw the message forum many times do not update me :frowning: but i saw that it is finally solved your problema
