MiniBook X N150 Touchscreen Glitching / Broken Lines & Ghost Touch

Hi everyone.
I am experiencing a touchscreen issue with my Chuwi MiniBook X running Windows 11.
The issue has been present since the first day I received the device.

Symptoms:

  • When I try to draw a continuous line using my finger in Microsoft Paint, the line constantly breaks and fragments into smaller pieces.
  • The touchscreen does not register light touches reliably. I often have to press harder than normal for the touch to be detected.
  • During a single continuous drag, the screen seems to register the input as broken strokes, rapid taps, or unstable touch input.
  • This makes the touchscreen feel slow, inaccurate, and unreliable for normal use.

I have already tried:

  • Restarting Windows
  • Cleaning the screen
  • Testing in Microsoft Paint

Video evidence:

Is this normal behavior for the MiniBook X touchscreen, or does this look like a hardware defect with the digitizer/touch panel?

If this is a known software, driver, or calibration issue, please let me know which official driver or tool I should try. Otherwise, should I request a replacement from the seller?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Additional details:
The touchscreen only works reliably when I press with a large contact area, such as using my thumb or pressing my index finger flat against the screen. Normal fingertip input with the index finger often does not register or breaks during dragging. This makes the touchscreen unreliable for normal use.
Pinch-to-zoom is also unreliable. Since the touchscreen often fails to detect normal fingertip input, two-finger gestures frequently do not register unless I press with a large contact area.

Check if the digitizer connector cable is properly inserted inside the connector and the connector is tightened. If so the digitizer is probably faulty!

Thank you so much for your reply! But unfortunately I’ve returned it to the store via shopping platform. I’m quite disappointed that this happened right out of the box, ended up getting GPD instead
