Minibook x n5100 does not charge 100%

I just bought a minibook x n5100 since the day it arrived the battery does not charge 100%. I already tried with the original charger in port 1 and in port 2 with a PD 45 watts and it is the same, sometimes it stays at 34%, other times at 43%. I opened it to have it inspected, it is visually fine, the battery is not inflated or anything obvious.

laptop was built more than 1 year ago. don’t know how it was stored.
hopefully not too cold or not too hot.

i can think of a few ways to check:

  • run windows battery report while discharged and while charged. check health, number of cycles etc.
  • calibrate the battery - discharge till empty and charge normal with original charger. repeat this cycle and see if state of charge [%] increases
  • finally try if resetting bios will help. remove battery cable to the motherboard, wait a few minutes and attach it back

if none of this work, try to get a refund or repair
