Minor WiFi issue

I bought a USB C ETHERNET cable / adapter for my Chuwi 10 Hi10 X thinking it might improve the connection stability and speed (not that the WiFi has been all that bad) but I found it did not connect. Some months later I tried it again but using the upper USB C port which is also the power charging port, instead of the data only port. It seems to work fine. So can someone explain why this is and if there are any issues / risks with using that port?

I have not found that Ethernet has increased the speed, but I am expecting than when Full Fibre is installed in a couple of weeks that should not be an issue, and having 2 alternative ways of getting online is worthwhile anyway.

I have been using Hi10X(N4100 model) and USB3.0 LAN Adapter.
USB3.0 LAN Adaptor is ASIX AX88179 USB 3.0 to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter.
Driver Version is 2.22.1.0(2021/09/08)
Althogh I use lower USB C port and USB3.0 LAN Adapter via USB C HUB, I can use it.

If you use USB LAN device in upper USB C port, you might feel inconvinient.Because you can’t connect charge cable.
