Chuwi VI10 CW1505 plugged in, but not charging. Top left orange LED flickering. Windows 8.1 is booting with AC power plugged in, but reports “not charging”. LED also flickers when AC power plug is removed. Battery has not been charged for more than a year. This tablet was bought from Chuwi.com on 18 May 2015. Only model number CW1505 is visible, but no serialno on the back. How can I refresh the battery?
@manonegra222 maybe would know some trick?
We do not have batteries replacements for that model
The serial number of these models is not located on the back of the device but on the lower metal frame, laser engraved. Regarding the charging process, the orange LED can blink in two ways: 1. The LED blinks at intervals of approximately half a second → it is charging 2. The LED blinks at rapid intervals of a few tenths of a second → It is not charging. In the first case, if it has not been used for a long time and has remained uncharged for a long time, the battery may have reached such low voltage levels that a protection is activated so that the discharge is not total and the battery dies. You must use the charger for days until this protection is deactivated and it is usable again. In the second case, you must look for another charger or another cable with the same characteristics to check if the LED acts as in the first case.
Thank you for your help. I did manage to recharge over a few days. Now everything works. Seems the battery can be revived for now. Problem solved.
Great! I’m glad you were able to solve your problem.
