How did you even do that? I tried an install of Windows to USB and the JunkBox Pro refuses to boot to it.
Maybe he used Rufus to make “Live” windows on USB stick as opposed to the regular “Bootable USB”(from which you install in the internal storage). By making the USB stick as “Live” Windows, you can use it as you use Linux - plug the USB stick into the system and run it, of course, with the limitations of a USB stick.
