SOLVED Minibook X N100 - no touchpad or mouse

SOLUTION: Device Manager → HID Devices → I2C HID Device → driver menu → uninstall device → reboot

Windows finds the device on reboot and restores it

Serial number ZMinBXHY4H231003027

Purchased on Amazon

The device has no functioning touchpad and there is no mouse pointer. The on screen keyboard keeps popping up for some reason but the hardware keyboard works.

It is not because of fn+esc, I tried that. In device manager it says I2C HID Device - this device cannot start (code 10)

I also tried reinstalling driver but it says the best driver is already installed.

What have you done to make it so that it doesn’t have ?

How did you try to reinstall the driver ?

I don’t understand the question

There is a link to a zip of all the drivers in another thread so I downloaded it and pointed the windows driver installer to it. The windows driver installer said that the driver is already installed.

You can download the operating system and drivers from the Chuwi website, in the “Support” and “Downloads” sections.

Hardware failure: When computers first came out, they had a small speaker that beeped. This gave you a startup test or beeped depending on the hardware failure that occurred.

To repair Windows, DISM and SFC are used. Both must be used in order: first DISM for the system image and then SFC for the internal files.
