Chuwi Lapbook 15.6 runs fast on Linux Manjaro KDE

If you own a Chuwi Lapbook 15.6, then here’s a great tip:

Is your Lapbook 15.6 slow on Windows 10?

Your Chuwi runs smooth and fast on Linux Manjaro with KDE Plasma Desktop.
Alle drivers are included and working, including sound, wifi and bluetooth.

Just download and install: manjaro-kde-18.0.4-stable-x86_64.iso

Thank you for your input.

Hi,

I want to try Manjaro on mi Lapbook 15.6, but I cannot select any usb drive to boot from bios.
I’d tried with F7 and entering the BIOS with ESC key, but there is no option to change boot device priority in Bios.

Can you tell me how to select usb drive in bios to boot from external drive?

Thanks in advance
Juan

Have you tried changing the boot config from secure boot to unsecure boot?
Or from UEFI to legacy?

If the above setting doesn’t help then maybe you have windows locked bios but as per @markvlie he was able to use Manjaro on his device.

I am not sure what is the difference between yours and his model.
