Tpuchpad not responding

Hi,

I just changed the CHUWI battery (it is out of warranty) and it is not recognizing touchpad (because everything working would have been too nice). I think that a connector can be loose, but I don’t know which one can be.

Any help will be appreciated, thanks in advance!

Same problem here, did you found the answer?

If you guys can make me a picture of the motherboard with everything maybe i can ask tech to see if they see anything wrong.

@bishop Give me your serial number maybe it is solved installing the drivers

Hi! I opened it again and the problem was that when I inserted the battery I had not closed the touchpad cable tabs again and it was not being recognized. As soon as I put them right, everything started working fine. Hope this can help you.

thanks for stopping by and informing

Hi there,

I didn’t touch (or disconnect) the touchpad tabs while replacing the battery, checked the connection though, and everything looks fine.

Hello,

seems the SN is S256G19110689. I didn’t disconnect a touchpad cable when replaced the battery. Double-checked everything, and all connections look fine.

In the Windows devices manager, I see an “HID over I2C” (hope I translated it to English correctly) device that is malfunctioning and it looks like it is the touchpad. I wonder if a new battery also uses I2C and can conflict with the touchpad.

I send you here a driver check if this would work

Updating the HID drivers fixed an issue with the malfunctioning device in the Device Manager, but the touchpad pointer is still not shown.

I triple-checked the connection (removed the cable and connected it again), see the photo attached. Is this the correct cable I’m checking?

can you send me a pic of the whole motherboard? would be easier for tech to recognize
