UBook X i5-10210Y Does not detect USB 2 devices

I purchased a new Chuwi Ubook X via AliEXpress on June 7, 2024. The tablet serial number is YUbokXCW3H240103953.

The USB type A port on the tablet has stopped working properly. I have uninstalled the root USB node in Windows device manager and detected the device again, but the type A port still does not work. The USB-C port does work.

Further investigation reveals that USB 3.0 devices connected to this port are recognized. Only USB 2.0 devices cannot be used. As per specification, the USB 2 and USB 3 data buses use different pins on the connector, and completely separate differential pairs for signaling, so something is wrong with pins 2-3 on that port. The USB C port does detect USB 2 devices with an appropriate adapter and/or hub.

All the BIOS settings have been reset to default. Additionally, the computer still does not detect devices attached to the USB A port when booted from a USB stick, either Windows recovery or a Linux live image. This is unlikely a driver issue or the operating system itself. The tablet will not boot from a USB 2 thumb drive when attached to the USB A port.

Please advise on repair or replacement. I am very knowledgeable on computer repair if it is necessary for me to replace parts myself.

The only thing i can gibe you is the software. For repair you know that you need to send it Either to Germany if you are in Europe or Hong Kong. Because from what you said we cannot know if its hardware or software.

But i send you the original files.

OS:https://chuwi.mediafire.com/file/539f3aixwpp61za/YZ-JX-12.3-SF133AYR110-AYB60D-234-H.7z/file

Drivers:https://chuwi.mediafire.com/file/e6ack49q2h5rff9/YZ-12.3-SF133AYR110-AYB60D-200%25E9%25A9%25B1%25E5%258A%25A8.zip/file

I have already tried reinstalling drivers, and that did not fix the issue. As I stated previously, the port did not function properly even after a clean boot from a Linux live image, when it had done so correctly in the past.

I live in the United States. Sending the tablet to Germany or Hong Kong is extremely expensive. Are there other options? I don’t know why you would have a US store and require international shipping for repairs.
