I own a Chuwi Ubox01 (serial: SUbox01ZZH241000430) with an AMD Ryzen 5 6600H chipset. Since I started using the device, I’ve been experiencing intermittent audio distortion during playback. The issue occurs randomly and unpredictably, making it very unpleasant to watch movies or listen to music.
The distortion happens regardless of the output method: I’ve tested both Bluetooth audio and wired output through the 3.5 mm line-out jack, and the issue persists across all formats.
The audio drivers currently installed are the original Senary Audio drivers that came preinstalled with the system.
Any suggestions or updated drivers to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated.
Ok, thanks to other owners I’ve found that the problem is related to the wifi adapter drivers. If you install and run program LatencyMon it will tell you that the system has problems to play real time audio because of some drivers. The one that seems to cause the problem is ndis.sys which is related to network interfaces. Some other owner of the chuwi ubox said that downgrading the Realtek 8852BE card driver did fix the issue. I’ll post again once I know more or even get a hand of this driver version.
CHUWI support team… any help from your side would be appreciated too…
I have a Chuwi mini PC of the same model.
Since I started using it, I haven’t used the mini PC’s audio connectors.
I have headphones connected to the monitor.
I reinstalled Windows and had trouble reinstalling the drivers.
To update the drivers, I used Avast Driver Update.
It’s a good idea to use an app to detect problems.
Doing my own test with wlan I found the problem is only with 5GHz, when I connect to a 2,4GHz net the sound works fine on my Ubox.
I manage to solve the problem with 5GHz too disabling 2.4GHz band, following these instructions (go to Device Manager, and in the advanced properties of the network card, disable the 2.4GHz band, along with disabling aggressive roaming):
