(Corebook x i5-8259u)Hello everyone, this is my first laptop and I saw online that this laptop apparently has a 2nd ram slot so i bought an 16gb ddr4 sodimm ram for my laptop and this is my first time opening it, i tried to follow the guide on youtube by the official chuwi page but they’ve installed the ram on the slot where a soldered ram is already installed, so im kinda stuck here looking where to put this extra ram I have.
From what I see. There is only one so-dim slot and it is occupied. Is the battery swollen, or am I mistaking?
It is indeed swollen, that’s the reason why I opened my laptop in the first place, then I got the idea of upgrading this thing because I thought it had another slot, haha. I should have opened it first before buying the ram
Than at least replace the 8GB stick with your 16GB one…and the battery. And you are good to go.
And how is it holding up against the test of time? Hinges, ports, ssd… The battery is a consumable.
Tech told me only 1 slot.
