Windows 11 Pro activation issue on CHUWI AuBox (OEM license not detected)

  1. Serial number: SAUBoxYZ2C251100831

  2. Buy it from Aliexpress

  3. Date: Nov. 11, 2025

  4. I purchased this device as a mini PC with Windows 11 Pro pre-installed.
Recently, I replaced the NVMe SSD and performed a clean installation of Windows 11 Pro (same edition) using the official Microsoft installation media.

The system is connected to the internet and working normally, but Windows does not activate automatically.
In Settings → System → Activation, Windows shows the following message:

“Windows reported that no product key was found on your device.
    Error code: 0xC004F213”

    BIOS OEM key check
To check whether an OEM product key is embedded in the firmware, I ran the following command in an elevated PowerShell window:

    (Get-CimInstance -Query 'SELECT * FROM SoftwareLicensingService').OA3xOriginalProductKey

This command returns no value at all (the line is empty), which indicates that there is no OEM Windows product key stored in the BIOS/UEFI of this device. According to the product description, this AuBox is supposed to include a Windows 11 Pro license.
Therefore, I would like to ask you to:

  • First, please confirm officially whether this specific model (with the above S/N) is sold with a Windows 11 Pro license included.

  • If it is a Windows 11 Pro licensed device, please help me in one of the following ways:

    (1) Provide the OEM Windows 11 Pro product key (25 characters) for this device by email,
so that I can enter it manually via
Settings → System → Activation → Change product key. or

    (2) Re-bind / re-register the digital license for my device’s serial number on Microsoft’s activation servers, so that Windows 11 Pro will activate automatically when connected to the internet.

If necessary, I would also appreciate it if you could provide a factory recovery image (recovery ISO/USB) that restores the system to the original shipped state with Windows 11 Pro activated.

Please let me know what additional information or documents (photos of the S/N label, proof of purchase, etc.) you may need.

Thank you in advance for your help, and I look forward to your reply.

The Windows license should be stored in the BIOS.

You can download it from the Chuwi website, support, downloads.
