Hello,
I have an Aerobook laptop purchased in 2020. After keeping it OFF for about 1 month, it is
unable to boot
and
the battery Led is always red.
I tried disassembling the battery but it seems OK (tested with and without load).
At startup I can see the Chuwi logo, but the pc shuts down during boot, often before it starts loading Windows. Then, after few seconds it turns back ON and retries to boot, but then shuts down again, and so on… ↓
The only way to boot the pc is to keep pressed any key (I usually use the Windows key). This trick does not completely fix the issue, because for some operations it is necessary to release the key and so the pc may shut down.
The pc reports that the battery is not charging (icon in the lowest-right corner: “3hr 42 min to full charge”). But the battery seems OK with programs such as BatteryMon. I think it is charged but the pc doesn’t recognize the charge level. Disconnecting the AC adaptor the battery voltage is 7.45V.
Excluding the probability of 2 simultaneous failures, I believe the keyboard problem (confirmed by Chuwi support) and the battery management are related.
According to Chuwi Support the spare parts for my pc are discontinued, so I must necessarily find a way to repair it. Can anyone help me with this issue?
Hello,
please find the missing data here below: Chipset: Intel Core M3 - 6Y30 2.1-You must post the Serial number of your product = Q256GQ20010650 2.2- Where did you buy it = Amazon 2.3- When did you buy it = 30th Apr 2020
In the meantime, I have tested the PC with a couple of diagnostic tools (WinPE Bootable) and I got no error.
Hello,
according to other posts in this forum, it seems that the issue could be in the keyboard. Now also Chuwi support recommends that I should replace the keyboard.
Since the keyboard is now discontinued as spare part, is anyone able to tell me if it can be repaired and how?
I see that to replace the kb I need to disassemble the whole pc, and I am a little bit scared.
Thank you for any help.
It is difficult to understand the purpose of this Forum if no one (not even Chuwi) responds, nor gives any useful suggestions. Add to this the unavailability of spare parts from the manufacturer, and the disaster is complete!
i am sorry, sometimes the posts do not appear on the feed as new and i am not able to read them, i apologize.
Did you go to a repair shop? because maybe they will be able to repair , without changing the keyboard. AS we do not have more keyboards of that model
Did you check in Aliexpress?
At first, thank you for your reply.
I haven’t contacted a PC repair shop yet, because I would like to try to save money, if possible.
If you have any ideas on how to fix it without changing the keyboard, please let me know.
If you have any information on compatible keyboards sold by Ali Express, can you specify the compatible model?
Thank you
