Backup emmc windows tablets

Hello,

I had to reinstall my hi13 and it took almost a day to apply all Windows updates. I would like to make a backup of the emmc, booting from a USB stick with third party cloning software. I tried Clonezilla, but unfortunately, it does not detect the emmc. I tried to boot with the latest Ubuntu Desktop and Linux Mint, none of them recognize the emmc.

I tried to get help from after sale, but they send me a procedure to completely wipe the emmc instead of doing a backup

How I can have the emmc recognized under Linux? Alternatively, what other cloning software I could use to do a backup of the emmc and to restore it?

Thanks

Macrium Reflect 100% can see the EMMC.

I tried to boot with a Macrium reflect rescue disk, the emmc is recognized but the screen resolution is limited to 640 x 480. Dialog windows are larger than this and it is not possible to scroll, so I cannot use it.

I tried to copy all the drivers onto the key, there are loaded on startup but no change.

Is there a way to increase the screen resolution?

You don’t need to boot from it, just launch in Windows

If you want to boot in other system anyway, in this winPE you can find

  • Acronis TrueImage 2018 build 11530
  • AOMEI Backupper v4.1.0
  • Lazesoft Disk Image & Clone v4.0.0.1
  • Macrium Reflect PE v7.1.3196
  • Runtime DriveImage XML v2.6.0

Problem is that if I need to restore the system because the tablet doesn’t boot anymore, then I will need to boot on a key. So I can’t use the version that ran directly under Windows.

That’s an excellent BootCD. It is still limited to 640x480 though.

AOMEI has a small GUI so I could access all the buttons. I have been able to create a backup or the drive.

Thanks!
