CD/DVD Player Does Not Work in USB-A Ports

When I plug either of my two CD/DVD players into my USB ports, they do not work. However, if I use an adapter, they work in my USB-C port.

And while they work okay when using the USB-C port, it causes battery drain. I can live with the battery drain, because it is slow and I just take breaks during CD ripping so the battery can recharge.

Can anyone help me with my issue of my CD/DVD players not being able to plug into my USB-A ports and work?

I think the problem is precisely that, the power since the USB ports do not provide enough power to power your devices. If your CD / DVD player has additional power, use it and check if use via USB A ports is possible
