The Problem: My chuwi hi10 x1 N150 exhibits ghost touches (unintended screen inputs) under very specific conditions, indicating what I believe to be a hardware defect:
- When adjusting the built-in kickstand: Every time I open, close, or change the angle of the kickstand, ghost touches immediately appear, often in the middle of the screen.
- When holding the tablet with one hand (causing slight chassis flex): If I hold the tablet in a way that causes even a small amount of flex in the body (e.g., by one corner, or putting pressure on the back), ghost touches also appear.
Progression of the Issue: Initially, these ghost touches were intermittent and only occurred during the physical adjustment/flex. However, at one point, the ghost touches became constant even when the tablet was left stable. While the touchscreen is generally responsive again now, the ghost touches still reliably reappear whenever the tablet is subjected to the kickstand adjustment or body flex. This makes the device unreliable and suggests a fragile internal connection or screen defect.
Troubleshooting Steps I’ve Already Taken:
- Restarted the tablet multiple times.
- Checked for Windows updates..
- Removed the screen protector to see if that is one of the factors causing the ghost touch but the problem still persist
Seeking Community Input:
- Has anyone else with a Chuwi Hi10 X1 N150 (or similar Chuwi model) experienced ghost touches directly linked to physical flexing or kickstand usage?
I am currently in the process of initiating a return/refund through Shopee, but I wanted to gather more information from the community as well.
Thank you for any help or shared experiences!
