JCorB version (16GB on board) does it have 2 NVMe slots?

I wonder I had this new model now with 16GB soldered and two SSD Slots. :joy:

Sadly it has no ram expansion slot. They basically used the older version board (7gen) with the new processor. 2SSD and soldered non expandable RAM.

Really? This is so odd because in BIOS there is a second slot information.
@marcus905, did you open backplate to confirm? could you add an image for us? this may help other users with same doubt.

There you go. I’m returning it most probably.

Moreover, the included SSD is SATA.

My compliments to chuwi, way to make a product worse AND more expensive.

(edit: To clarify: I’m very unhappy with the product as it stands)

Great @marcus905. That´s the image internet was missing. I haven´t found anywhere else.

Sad to see we dont have a memory slot. This way it cannot make use of Dual Channel.

What disappoints me is that there actually is a lot of space and they could have put the slot nearby, and most probably even the dual SSD slot also. What a shame, really.

I don’t know if you are interested but actually it rans like a MacBookPro15,2 model with OpenCore. I bought it just to use it under MacOS and it is working great!

Hey, do you have a link to a tutorial on how to make CoreBook X into a Hackintosh working in a smooth way?

Here: GitHub - wxjiyc/CHUWI-CoreBook-X-2022-8259U-Hackintosh: OpenCore for CHUWI-CoreBook-X-2022-8259U-Hackintosh

There are many repositories in github like this one, BUT you need to learn at least what OpenCore is.

Hello, can you tell me what NVMe did you buy? Is it necessary to uninstall the original hard drive or can it stay? and how did you configure the boot in the bios?
Thank you and regards
