LarkBox from Indiegogo

I have not yet started the update.
I seem to have a lot of luck.
I also know another computer,
where the said update was not triggered,
because of the problems when certain hardware is in use.
Let’s hope so.
Thanks for the hints.

I installed 2004 with Media Creation Tool and booting from a flash drive. It seems to run good.

I haven’t been using the Larkbox a lot since my Odroid H2+ performs better with a NVMe drive and 16 gigs of ram.

I wonder how much it would have cost to put 8 gigs of ram in the Larkbox. IMO, they should have made the Larkbox however big it needs to be to be able to run a NVMe drive.

hi Alain,
I saw your posts, interesting but in my case initial installaiton was working fine, but now continously freezing or not booting. Do you think that if I replace and clean install on a new SSD, will solve the issue ?

Well, that’s what I did , installing Win10 2004 on an additional SSD!
So far, I’m still unable to boot from the eMMC…but I don’t care as my system on SSD is working fine

with enabling Fan in the BIOS, right ?
Do you recommend any other change in the BIOS settings?

Yep, ‘Enable’ in ‘Thermal’ settings.
I ain’t played with other stuff in BIOS, because I’m not that desparate and because I’ve read quite sad stories about playing with LarkBox’s BIOS

Umm, didn’t notice your video…
Ouch, that’s really weird, all those video noises :frowning:

Thank you Alain, I sent last week to chuwi france, but without response. in any case thank you

Yes, it’s kinda difficult to deal with Chuwi : they need to know and check that your product is original, bought on their site… You can reach them too on Instagram, but not Twitter.

I have another problem. I have the preinstall ssd version one but just wanna install linux into the emmc. Seen not work cause linux recognise emmc to external drive.

I can’t help you with Linux,sorry :frowning:

Hi Alain, I wanted to know if you could help me with my little problem.

I installed a SABRENT 1T NVMe PCIe M.2 2242 SSD into my CHUWI Larkbox as a second drive storage.

And Windows Disk Management can’t see it even in the not allocated and the BIOS seems to not see it either.

I don’t know what to do.

Thank You.

Simple : only SATA M.2 is supported, no NVMe :frowning:

I had same problem after updating to Windows10 v2004.

I also intend to ask about refund to CHUWI.
The after sale service seems very poor. I will ask to Indiegogo’s legal department in the worst case.

My LarkBook had almost same status like yours.

Which problem ? Can you elaborate?

Don’t forget they are on holidays from October,1 to 6

Seen your other post… and commented there, sorry

Yeah can sympathise as I got my Larkbox 7 days ago and haven’t got it working at all. Tried different screens, smart TVs but absolutely nothing apart from the little blue power light. I’m afraid from what I’ve read online we’ve been scammed and Indiegogo will not care and still waiting for a reply from Chuwi as they have totally ignored my first four messages sent directly to them. Think I’m going to have to write off the cost and learn to never buy Chinese again. Hopefully I may be wrong and they will refund in full but I very much doubt it. All the best for a resolution.
