Minibook 8 gets Black Screen after BIOS changes. How to reset?

I have Chuwi Minibook 8". Today I change several things in BIOS and after the computer restart it got black screen, no American Megatrends red BIOS logo at the start, only black screen. The blue power LED is on so definitely the computer is powered on but no display on screen, perhaps I changed something in BIOS that messed with the display. I tried to press Esc or Del to access BIOS but still only black screen.

I tried to press the power button longer, at about 10 seconds, the blue power LED starts blinking but nothing happens, I keep pressing it for 30+ seconds, the blue LED still blinking but nothing else, so I stop pressing it and the computer goes off.

Then I tried to connect the Minibook to external monitor using Mini HDMI to HDMI cable. Surprise, when I started the computer and pressed Esc, the red BIOS logo appear but seemed distorted and unreadable, I can’t see which one is the reset factory setting option. When I reboot the computer and don’t press any button, the computer can boot into Windows on the external monitor but still has black display on its own monitor. Too back I can’t reset BIOS from Windows (or can I? anyone knows?) I think this problem is caused because I messed up when changing several setting in BIOS. Anyone knows how to reset / restore factory setting in BIOS when it got black screen? In PC it’s simple just press the “clear CMOS” (CLR_CMOS) button, but in this Minibook I don’t see such button.

I have tried the disconnect battery method, I tried to plug out the battery cable for about 30 minutes, then plug it back, turn on the computer but still black screen, it didn’t reset BIOS. Anyone knows how to reset the BIOS on Chuwi Minibook 8? Maybe some button combination to press? Thanks in advance.

Hi!

You should be able to access bios through windows 10 directly. Check this out: https://www.laptopmag.com/articles/access-bios-windows-10

You can reboot from windows to recovery mode, in recovery mode you can select to reboot to UEFI.
Hope this helps.

Hi there, the same problem here, but with a larkbox.
