Minibook Dead and support is nonexistant

My minibook is dead after a few months. Support has been largely unresponsive. I have been getting replies every 4 days to my emails if I get them at all. The latest they are telling me is that I have to ship it to Spain or Russia to get service. Being in the US this seems like a really bad way to get things fixed. I would have never bought this machine if I had known there was no warranty. Beware anyone who buys this thing that the support is beyond terrible. If I do get it fixed I will end up taking a loss on it by selling on ebay, I am also contacting my credit card to get a warranty credit if at all possible. ugh.

Why wouldn’t you ship it to Spain?

I probably will end up doing that, but the cost and customs will be a concern. I’m still waiting for the RMA number and address for shipping. This has been going on for a month now :frowning:

Customs shouldn’t be a problem if it’s a returning item?

What is the progress now?Sorry for the inconvenience.

It’s been a month since my first contact. I finally got the address in China of where to ship the device to yesterday (January 9th). I was told not to ship it until January 31st due to the holidays in China since no one will be there to get the packages. It will take 6-8 weeks to get it back based on the email. Going back to first contact this means I will be without my device for 4-5 months. What’s the purpose of having something which cannot be used?

This is the last time I buy something like this where there is essentially no service or support options. This will be going on eBay if it’s ever fixed.

I’m sorry for the trouble caused to you. Since your equipment has been sent out, we will repair it and return it as soon as possible. Please understand that the Chinese New Year holiday is a bit long.

Haven’t sent it yet since they told me not to do so until January 31st, which is in another 3 weeks. In the meantime I have an expensive paperweight.
