Finally fixed, Chuwi Engineers are a joke. The last email I received they told me that tablet was broken and need to be repair because there was a hardware problem. I am the best. If someone need help just write. Thanks god! I can finally go to sleep. That tutorial is missing things and have errors and there is an additional step to make the tablet work again.
JOSHZ you are strong!!! Gosh, are you sure you donāt want to be the new Leader engineer for the CHUWI developer team !
And CONGRATS my broooo, thatās such good news!!!
I so happy for you :)!
Have a proper restā¦when you have some time to help the community with the full steps, we would appreciate it!
Btwā¦the device now is unlocked?
Thank you for your time in advance and congrats man :)!
The tablet looks like it has the firmware from the first batches of the tablet, before the OTA update (the Google search bar is on the top, after the OTA it becomes the bottom). Does this mean the bootloader is unlocked?
Hi Anathema unfortunately Bootloader is locked and update is different from OTA update and by errors in tutorial I lost my drm keys for widevine L1 and also imei (it shows 0 in both imeis) info, but that could be avoided just doing a backup of some files before flash in case they were erased in that tutorial. I will try to correct the pdf and explain also how to install the right drivers because that tutorial is a disaster. I really donĀ“t give importance to Widevine L1 and ImeiĀ“s Because I donĀ“t use Netflix and neither Sim Card.
I will also try to see if this firmware could be unlocked the bootloader to install a custom Rom because blurry is still there but is less than previous firmware but I think that problem is a problem of color, fonts and bad resolution set to interface. But Chuwi is Chuwi they donĀ“t know what they sell and support is very bad.
I too have lost the IMEI numbers by selecting āerase all dataā as told on the tutorial. Later iāll look into a way to clone from an old phone. The information on this topic could be useful for unbrincking the Hipad Pro and should not be removed. It was a real pain to restore the system after the flashing. The bootloader still locked and canāt be unlocked via fastboot, for now I see no reason for flashing this firmware.
@super Could you please suply a backup of your boot.img for testing?
I try to back up boot.img but I could not provision my Hipad Pro by following the firmware tutorial. All attempts to access partition by QFIL were failed.
By the way, try flash this to restore IMEI. This is backup of IMEI for Qualcomm devices.
I donāt think you need to provision to backup boot.img, just go to āpartition managerā under ātoolsā on Qfil. Use this tutorial, just read the partition wonāt do any harm to the system. The only difference is that you should select āufsā as device type, also note that the hipad has 2 boot (a/b) partitions.
How to use QFIL to backup firmware from Qualcomm Android (hovatek.com)
Try to boot windows disabling driver signature enforcement. That should fix this error
Hi @mrfury,
Today I got an answer from the CHUWI, I asked them the original room before the OTA, and they have shared with me this new link.
I couldnāt have time to install this one on my laptop, but I leave it here, just in case you have the chance to tried
Thank you
Hi manuelbrunopt,
Thank you for your sharing. That looks the same firmware as Anathemaās link.
gosh, I was trying to find out with the previous posts, but I couldnāt find it
if is itā¦Iām going to text the support telling themā¦that this file is corrupted!
Thank you for the note @super
Does this part of firmware switch back the bootloader from ālock stateā to āunlock stateā?
Note: after to update the tablet with OTA, the bootloader had been changed to ālock stateā.
Itās this link here shared by Anathema.
Actually the firmware is good not corrupted. As you can see JOSHZās post can now flash this firmware. But the bootloader is still locked.
Yeah @super , thank you so much! I think a solution for all the community is to find someone that has the original room unlocked, and then from there create a boot.img to share with the community.
I will use the tutorial that you have shared @mrfury and create a new Thread for this
Hello everyone I have been reading all your comments since the purchase of the tablet, namely since Septemberā¦ And I read because of the presence of a blur effect, as well as because of a software breakdown. No one has been writing anything here for a long time, and the question has not been closedā¦ Has anyone managed to flash the tablet to normal software? All my attempts at firmware ended up with a black screen like many here. Please share the firmware, the officials shove one and the same non-working firmware every timeā¦
Hello Vasyankot,
First of all links of the firmware for Hipad Pro that has been shared on this forum lead to the same firmware. So does it work and boot up. But you need to ask the persons who could flash this firmware and boot up the system.
Secondly, I would say the best solution for fixing blurry issue is to flash GSI ROMs. But you need to unlock bootloader before doing this. Unfortunately there is no official response about unlock tool or method yet. I donāt know how long this will take to have unlock tool or method. Usual unlock method (fastboot flashing unlock or the like) does not work from the feedback of the users who have tried.
I will try to dump my boot.img from my Hipad Pro via root access method in order to unlock bootloader. Since I could not backup my boot.img via QFIL tool. My plan to do this is after the release of my favorite Android 12 GSI ROM. Not sure when but may be the beginning of next year.
What is the current situation of your device? Completely bricked by flashing the firmware? I have no idea how to use QFIL tools either. My other Qualcomm devices have official flash tools created by their own manufacturers. For example, Xiaomi, Moto, Samsung.
The tablet is in a ābrickā state. That is, it turns on, the Android screensaver lights up, after which a black screen appears and thatās it. The computer sees the tablet via Qfil in diagnostic mode. Also, through Qfil, I flashed the firmware provided by the official representative, there are no results. Maybe there are omissions in that instruction that the official representative did not mention?..
