Aerobook - battery not charging

Yes, from Spain you can send the laptop through Correos. Do it as a postal package with a tracking number (Not as a certificate that is as they will tell you in Correos and is more expensive) and the cost will be about 28 euros.
It is also interesting that abroad it is a return for repair in an RMA document that Chuwi can provide you so that when you enter China you do not generate import costs.

Tested the Blitzwolf EU-BW-S11-W

  • works indeed fine with the Aerobook :ok_hand:

Hello, I am from Japan.

I have a battery trouble too.
It became abnormal from 2 weeks.
I talked to support and reinstalled UEFI, but it didn’t make sense.
Probably a manufacturing issue.

Currently, it’s been 45 days since I purchased it, but it only runs under 10 minutes with a battery.
Just put it and it will not start with battery 0.
Must be plugged in all the time, is this a desktop PC? …

It is very disappointing

Write to aftersale@chuwi.com detailing your problem.

I´ll send back to the seller …this battery problem seems to be a recurring failure. The Aerobook should be a good laptop if it worked as it should…

Hi guys, unfortunately I am another one with the same problem, today without further notice the aerobook stopped charging (even tough windows says is charging… it stays on 5%) I have been using the laptop for a while now and is so sad that this is a common problem, for what I’ve read I believe it’s the battery that’s causing the problem (I’ll run some more tests when I get back home in a week) but for now if I touch the charger is not cold, when it should be a little bit warm delivering around 2 amperes for charging.

I bought my laptop on the indiegogo campaign, and I’ve already contacted after-sales, I guess they’ll ask me to send it back to HK (I’m from Spain).

Is good that all we have the same trouble can talk and share experiences to try to solve that problem as soon as possible.

We’ll keep in touch!

I also have the AeroBook of crowdfunding, I am also from Spain and, for now I have not had that problem.
As you said that you have already written to Chuwi, I hope you share here the solutions proposed to serve users who may suffer from the same problem.

Have you always charged with the official charger?Have you used any Power Delivery charger?

Well, something really strange happened right know.
My aerobook was 5% battery (and I’ve been using it for like 2h with no charging at all) then suddenly stopped working turning itself off, I turned on and windows said battery was 0.0%… So ok, I used for 30 minutes more to see how much more time I had since next turn off, and out of the blue started charging, now is 54% and rising, when I touch the charger it feels warm (so there’s current going in) which did not happen before. That does not give me a lot of confidence about the product as I can break again soon…

As for the questions I’ve used a Power Delivery charger a few times to check if the USB-C was working (and it was working OK) and I’ve always been using the original charger.

One thing I noticed and I’d like to know if you guys feel the same is that when its charging (or when is connected and doing a normal use) it gets extremely hot on the downside, as hot as I believe that is going to be bad for the battery… May that be the root cause?

It is time for testing, with another charger, with another USB-C cable in case the problem is a defective charge.
The heating is bad friend of the batteries, producing breakdowns and even hammering. My AeroBook does not suffer from excessive heating, but I do not demand too much because I only use it for multimedia and answer the forums

Hi,guys.

Look at my pretty pretty AeroBook too.

movies link is here.

Battery will be 100% to 0% very quickly.
it’s needs about under 10minuts.
And it is recharged to 100% very quickly when plugged in.

I am very polite in handling the battery.
However, my AeroBook is a terrible state.

i got tired by this trouble.
anyway, if your AeroBooks has trouble, when you must return AeroBook13.3 to saler as soon as possible.

i can’t about that.
too late…
Don’t waste my experience!!!

I forgot to write this.

I have only charged from the included adapter.
I have never charged the battery from USB-C.
There was no power outage.
Of course lightning and earthquakes.
We handled delicately for the lithium ion battery and tried to charge 20% -80%.
I used a fan to heat the aerobook.

However, an abnormal situation occurred.

Hello, I have also problem with charging my Aerobook but not this way as you guys. So far my Aerobook is charging fine with stock charger but when I plug USB-C device (ethernet adapter), it seems that charging is going on but % of battery in Windows stops and laptop is discharging. When I unplug usb-c device and charger, battery % in Windows drops down. I tried another usb-c ethernet adapter but with the same result. In another laptop usb-c device is working fine. Anyone have the same problem?

Here another one with the same problem. Anyone of you have found the solution to this?

Thanks

Hi, someone in Chuwi wrote with a solution, and I dont get what they say, which is a kind of tutorial to do something, but I can´t understand what I have to do. Someone got the same answer and try this way?

Is this:

  1. Brush the EC as the tutorial states.

  2. discharge the device to low power to shut down.

  3. turn on the device and discharge to shut down again

u disk brush EC method

As shown in Figure 1, first extract the downloaded EC file, and copy all the files in the EC to the root directory of the disk.
2, U disk format (FAT32 format named WINPE)
3, [picture is only for reference EC file and download)

5, put the u disk into the notebook, in the state of shutdown. Press the power button and press the FN + F7 button on the keyboard at the same time, (or F7) to enter the selection to start the device interface as shown below.

Select UEFI:Generis, Partition 1 press Enter, EC flashes the tablet to automatically shut down, unplug the U disk

Muchas gracias
